IT Support Assistant, Ipswich £15,000-£18,000

Time Appointments are currently recruiting on behalf of well-established and leading IT company that are seeking to appoint a 1st Line IT Support Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a close-knit, busy company that prides themselves on the high-quality products and services it offers to its clients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Providing first line technical support via phone, email and in person
  • Providing first class customer service and support in all instances, taking ownership of problems and having a pro-active approach to ensure resolution
  • Logging and recording support calls
  • Providing telephone, remote and on-site support for faults on servers, desktop computers, laptops, internet, networking, telephones and printers.
  • Assisting with installations as and when required

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 1st line/helpdesk support experience
  • Must be a strong communicator, verbally over the phone and in person
  • Driving Licence, beneficial but not essential
  • A strong passion for IT and telecommunications
  • Charismatic, confident and customer focussed
  • Ability to demonstrate methods and resolutions to others
  • Ability to work as a team, and work independently using own initiative
  • A willingness to learn and take control of support cases
  • Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to make informed decisions
  • Excellent time management

Our client offers a fantastic starting salary, and career progression.

Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00-17:30, however a degree of flexibility is required
