Job Description

We have an exceptional opportunity to join a world leading manufacturing business based in Colchester. This role will allow you to provide strategical support and work on large scale projects. This is an important time for the business as they move into new areas of work and are keen for a strong HR individual to take the company forward.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with the necessary requirements in human resources, legal compliance, organizational needs, and employee issues
  • Maintains strong labour relations.
  • Provide the correct number of employees, based on the needs of the organization, at the right place and with the potential; within the time required under process capability
  • Responsible for the administration of wages, salaries, and benefits through outsourced payroll provider: Ensure legal compliance, market competitiveness, internal equity and alignment with business performance
  • Identify, retain, and develop individual and collective talent
  • Coordinate the organizational plan to changes in short-, medium- and long-term according to business needs; provide organizational support for the optimization of resources (growth and / or reduction of staff)
  • Recommends training needs and maintains the staff at the highest level of skills and knowledge to meet the needs and objectives of the company
  • Manages the performance appraisal system
  • Responsible to meet EHS requirements and procedures
  • Maintain HR practices, costs, and risks under control
  • Manages the implementation of Social Responsibility standards
  • Support the relocation of the joint venture and associated talent acquisition
  • Lead annual negotiations
  • Support the transfer of payroll provider to new supplier
  • Support third party and internal audits as required

 

Qualification & Experience Required:

  • CIPD Level 5 and above
  • 5 Years with union negotiations, EHS, training and development, interviews by competencies
  • Experience in managing compensation systems for both hourly and salaried employees
  • Experience in Change management
