We are thrilled to be working with a Motor Engineering services company based in Ipswich who are currently recruiting for an experienced Inhouse Motor Engineering Manager to lead and motivate a team of Engineer’s towards success.
Previous Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven successful experience of managing a vehicle damage/ motor engineering team
- Thorough understanding of vehicle damage assessing/engineering
- Experience of using industry related software, including Audatex, would be advantageous
- Previous experience of MI reporting, with the ability to analyse data
- Personable and approachable, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to overcome obstacles
The successful Motor Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing an engineering team of multi-skilled staff as well as the day-to-day operations.
Key Duties Include:
- Managing a team of vehicle damage engineers who will in return be responsible for assessing and estimating vehicle repairs using recognised engineering principles to reduce repair costs on behalf of customers.
- Recruiting and training new employees.
- Managing staff to support them with completing tasks.
- Conducting performance reviews with staff.
- Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Creating departmental targets and goals.
- Clarifying department and individual expectations.
- Problem solving and dealing with customer/client complaints.
- Process new authorisations within agreed timescales.
