Job Description
We are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a growing production company who are looking for a Procurement Administrator to join their team in Ipswich. You will be responsible for the purchase of goods, materials and services to ensure the companies operational needs are met. You will need to consider price, quantity and delivery to ensure continuity of supply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets.
- Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities.
- Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organisation.
- Provide analysis on costs, new and existing and review cost reduction activities.
- Prepare reports and updates as and when required.
- Responsible for keeping the accuracy of the IT systems updated with all purchasing related information.
- Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings.
- Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules and resolve price, quality, delivery and invoice issues.
- Chase overdue purchase orders.
- Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships.
- Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures guidance.
- Compile data relating to supplier performance to enable evaluation.
- Monthly stock orders.
- Resolve invoice supplier queries.
- Process supplier ISO forms with all suppliers when onboarding them.

Previous Skills & Experience:
- Previous procurement experience is essential including knowledge of purchasing, negotiating, commercial understanding and cost breakdown.
- Ability to add value, reduce costs and input to business improvements.
- Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
