Job Description

We are working on an exciting opportunity to join a leading logistics provider who are currently looking for an Export Clerk to join their growing team in Felixstowe.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with Exports experience who is looking to further their experience in the industry.

 

Key Duties:

  • Liaison with customers/ overseas agents/partners, inter-company offices & related parties.
  • Responsible for collection of all monies due in liaison with the Accounts department.
  • Quality Management – Strive to maintain quality within the organisation and alert the Operations Supervisor or Managing Director of any issues or risks
  • Develop a professional working relationship with other offices, customers and suppliers.
  • Preparation/Presentation of Import Customs Entries Bills of Lading/Emanifest/ISF, AMS, CDS entries and any other related documentation.
  • Prepare spreadsheets and Invoices.

 

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Conversant with all aspects of Ocean/Sea Export.
  • Strong technical and operational background.
  • Freight Forwarding or shipping related qualifications desirable.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the shipping/logistics sector is essential.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good Geographical knowledge.
  • Knowledge of handling Letters of Credit/ IPR and other Freight related documents in relation to exporting cargo.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – essential.
