Job Description
Time Appointments are delighted to be working on behalf of a prestigious law firm looking for a Trainee Assistant Solicitor to join their residential conveyancing department. This role is designed for a motivated and ambitious candidate who is serious about building a career in residential conveyancing. You will receive direct support from a solicitor, ongoing training and professional development and a clear progression pathway to qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assisting with residential conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion
· Supporting on freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
· Drafting contracts, transfers, and supporting documentation
· Reviewing title, searches, and raising enquiries
· Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors
· Using case management systems and digital onboarding tools
· Ensuring compliance with lender requirements, regulatory obligations, and firm procedures
Skills & Experience:
· A qualifying law degree (LLB/GDL) and progress toward SQE or LPC
· A genuine interest in property law and conveyancing
· Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
· Excellent communication and client care skills
· A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to learn
· The ability to work in a structured, process-driven environment
· Commercial awareness and interest in how a modern conveyancing practice operates
· Prior experience in a conveyancing or legal environment is advantageous but not essential.
