Job Description

We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading organisation within the logistics and infrastructure sector, who are looking to appoint an Assistant Contracts Manager to join their growing commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual with strong commercial awareness, good organisational skills, and a desire to develop within contract management.

The successful candidate will support the Contract Management function in the administration, coordination, and performance monitoring of commercial agreements. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure contracts are delivered effectively, risks are minimised, and value is achieved.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and maintaining commercial contracts and service level agreements.
  • Support the Contract Managers in the delivery and ongoing management of commercial agreements
  • Ensure contract documentation is accurate, compliant, and stored in line with internal procedures.
  • Monitor contract performance, KPIs, renewal dates, and operational deliverables.
  • Liaise with internal teams including Procurement, Operations, and Finance to support contract delivery.
  • Prepare contract summaries, reports, and briefing documents for senior management.
  • Support the coordination of contract review meetings and supplier performance discussions.
  • Assist in reviewing invoices and financial schedules to ensure alignment with contract terms.

 

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a commercial, administrative, procurement, or contract support role is desirable.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent organisational abilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Confident working with documentation, spreadsheets, and data reporting.
  • A willingness to learn commercial principles and develop contract management knowledge.
