Job Description
We are working on an exciting opportunity to join a leading logistics provider who are currently looking for an Export Clerk to join their growing team in Felixstowe.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with Exports experience who is looking to further their experience in the industry.
Key Duties:
- Liaison with customers/ overseas agents/partners, inter-company offices & related parties.
- Responsible for collection of all monies due in liaison with the Accounts department.
- Quality Management – Strive to maintain quality within the organisation and alert the Operations Supervisor or Managing Director of any issues or risks
- Develop a professional working relationship with other offices, customers and suppliers.
- Preparation/Presentation of Import Customs Entries Bills of Lading/Emanifest/ISF, AMS, CDS entries and any other related documentation.
- Prepare spreadsheets and Invoices.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Conversant with all aspects of Ocean/Sea Export.
- Strong technical and operational background.
- Freight Forwarding or shipping related qualifications desirable.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the shipping/logistics sector is essential.
- Computer literate.
- Good Geographical knowledge.
- Knowledge of handling Letters of Credit/ IPR and other Freight related documents in relation to exporting cargo.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – essential.
