Time Appointments are proud to be working on behalf of a reputable and well-established wholesaler based in Harwich, who are currently seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Head of Supply Chain to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to take ownership of the full supply chain function, driving efficiency and ensuring the seamless flow of goods from supplier to customer.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead demand and supply planning, forecasting, and alignment with business goals.
- Drive efficient business planning and data-driven decisions to enhance operational performance
- Optimise the end-to-end supply chain to improve inventory management, lead times, and on-time delivery
- Manage and build strong relationships with 3PL providers
- Collaborate with the Sales team to plan for upcoming promotions and events
- Conduct capacity planning in partnership with internal stakeholders
- Deliver regular reporting and business analysis to inform strategic decisions
- Proactively identify and address potential supply chain risks or disruptions
- Oversee inbound material scheduling in line with inventory targets and business needs
- Lead the implementation of supply chain infrastructure and process improvement initiatives
- Manage and develop a team of 7 FTE, including future recruitment, training, and performance reviews
- Monitor supply chain KPIs to ensure targets are consistently met
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align logistics with sourcing and demand forecasting
- Ensure departmental KPIs and company objectives are met
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in supply chain or logistics management
- Deep understanding of supply chain operations and business processes
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organised
- Demonstrated success managing multiple 3PL providers
- ERP system experience essential; SAP highly desirable
- Commercially minded with a strong customer focus

- Capable of thriving in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment
