Job Description

We are proud to be working on behalf of a prestigious Financial Services company based in Ipswich, who are currently looking for a Junior Paraplanner to join their team.

Key Duties:

  • Liaise with Wealth Planning, Financial Planning and Technical teams to obtain information required for reports within agreed timescales.
  • Prepare Letters of Authority and Letters of Appointment as required.
  • Obtain third-party policy information and proactively liaise with providers to meet agreed timescales.
  • Assist with third-party policy analysis and maintain accurate records to ensure a clear audit trail.
  • Carry out product research and obtain product information and new business illustrations as required.
  • Ensure product research and supporting information is accurate and up to date.
  • Prepare annual review and initial client reports accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Prepare documentation and paperwork for client meetings and new business submissions.
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge of financial planning, products and providers.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to support the efficient delivery of client services.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and professionalism when handling client and provider information.

 

Previous Skills & Experience:

  • Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent, or have relevant experience within the financial services sector.
  • Previous experience in a financial services environment, with exposure to client contact and financial administration is beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience or knowledge of pensions and/or investment products is desirable.
  • Ideally studying towards, or having completed, one or more CII examinations.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing professional development and a structured study plan to build technical knowledge and expertise.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
