Time Appointments are currently recruiting on behalf of a growing business based in Ipswich, who are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Operator to join their team.

The successful candidate will have previous experience within a similar role and the motivation to make an impact within a company.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Minimum of 3 experience in Transport Operating
• Familiar with  VBS Systems Destinat8, Truckcom or Tops
• Confident of running a sheet of trucks from profit

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Routing and planning of containers and dedicated subcontracted haulage suppliers with consideration for delivery time, driving hour’s legislation and vehicle operating restrictions, whilst maximising productivity at least cost
• Booking VBS slots in accordance with work requirements
• Inputting data on the in-house system to create job files
• Ensuring compliance with transport legislation, including drivers’ hours and tachograph regulations
• Communicating with drivers, dispatchers, and team members to ensure efficient daily operations
• Responding to customer enquiries, resolving service issues, and ensuring agreed service levels are consistently met
• Utilising traffic management systems to monitor vehicle locations, shipments, and route adjustments
